This was the most delicious version of a BLT that I have ever had. Kenny and I made them for dinner two weeks ago and oh my god were they delicious with the fun and extra ingredients we added.
What we used:
Arugula
Avocado
Bacon
Romaine Lettuce
Steak Tomatoes
White bread (gotta stick to the classic, oh and don't forget to toast the slices!)
Mayo (duh)
Boat House Farms greek yogurt ranch dressing for dipping!
This recipe is not rocket science so I'm here just to give you some insight and some tips on making and eating this delicious sandwich.
We had leftover arugula in the fridge so we decided to use the rest up and put some on the sandwiches. Amazing! The pepperiness of the arugula paired wonderfully with the salty porkiness of the bacon. We also added sliced avocado! So creamy, so blissful. Tip: When we cut our avocados we drizzled them with some lemon juice, prevents the avocado slices from browning and it adds a great acidity to the sandwich! Pairs awesome again with the arugula!
After slicing our steak tomatoes we immediately sprinkled coarse salt and freshly ground pepper onto each slice. It draws out the moisture in the tomato slices and makes them extra delicious and juicy!
I got Kenny hooked on Boat House Farm greek yogurt dressings. They can be found in the produce section next to the lettuces. They have way less calories and grams of fat then regular dressings. They have a lot of different flavors as well! We used their ranch dressing to dip our sandwiches in!
Make this sandwich your own with your own favorite ingredients! These were just some of ours. :) Enjoy!
Much love
